Marion Cultural Development Corporation (MCDC) announces a second opportunity for 2016 grant funds. Applicants who received an award in the first 2016 fund round are NOT eligible to reapply for more 2016 funds.

Applications grants for the second round of 2016 projects will be accepted online only, beginning November 1, 2015. The deadline to apply is January 5, 2016. Grantees will be notified by February 1, 2016 and will receive their awards at a ceremony later in February. Funds will be available for use in 2016, with final reports due by December 31, 2016.

About Us

The Marion Cultural Development Corporation (MCDC) is an affiliate of the Oregon Cultural Trust (OCT) serving Marion County. Its purpose is to enhance arts, culture, and heritage activities throughout the county. It fulfills this purpose primarily by awarding grants for projects in these areas to cultural non-profits or individuals sponsored by them.

Since 2005, MCDC has awarded $284,000 in 167 grants to 87 different organizations. Applications for grants to help fund projects to be carried out in 2016 will be due this fall. Information on eligibility requirements and evaluation criteria can be found on the MCDC website. Applications must be made online.
